Media reports on Wednesday quoting a senior Iraqi Oil Ministry official suggested that the country’s fourth exploration bidding round, scheduled for the start of March, will now be postponed until mid-April. The official said the delay was requested by potential bidders, with some companies wanting more time to consider the contract model. The round will auction off 12 new exploration blocks, seven of which hold gas resources.
