Chevron suspends shale gas operations in north east Romania

Chevron has suspended shale gas exploration in north eastern Romania following a series of protests. The company said it would halt work at the Barlad shale play but remains committed to “building constructive and positive relationships with the communities where we operate” and would continue dialogue with the public and authorities.
