Japan's JBIC to part-finance Chubu’s Ichthys stake

Chubu Electric Power (CEP) has secured Yen 12.5 billion ($130 million) of funding for its 0.735% stake in the Ichthys LNG project in Western Australia. The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed a loan agreement for Yen 7.5 billion, with Yen 5 billion also provided by unnamed private financial institutions, detailed a JBIC statement.
