European gas buyers have to exercise their leverage over neighbouring producers in order to drive down gas prices, according to Eni's midstream vice president Marco Alvera on Monday. Alvera was speaking at the opening session of the European Autumn Gas Conference (EAGC) in Brussels on Tuesday. “We need to constructively engage in a new type of relationship with neighbouring producing counties,” he said.
