Final two of GB’s ‘Big Six’ energy utilities slash retail energy tariffs

E.ON and Scottish Power have this week become the last two utilities of GB’s ‘Big Six’ to slash retail energy tariffs, following reductions in the wholesale price of gas and electricity over the past few months. E.ON cut its standard electricity price by 6% on Monday, while Scottish Power reduced gas prices by 5% on Tuesday. Both cuts will take effect from February 27.
