Rosneft sees Kara Sea FID in 2016-2017, eyes gas output boost

Russia’s Rosneft and Exxon Mobil presented their international exploration partnership to investors on Wednesday. The venture could invest over $500 billion developing frontier resources in the Arctic and Black Sea, with an Arctic Kara Sea project potentially sanctioned in 2016-2017. And Rosneft said growing gas production will underpin a 4% rise in its overall output to 3.7 million boe/d by 2020.
