Chromanes and their derivatives are ubiquitously found in numerous biologically active natural products. Molecules containing chromane scaffolds exhibit a broad range of bioacti-vities, such as antiviral, antitumor, antimicrobial, and sex phero-mone, and they can be used as biodegradable agrochemicals and photo-active materials.
