Scottish Section visits Biggar Gasworks Museum

THE SCOTTISH Section thoroughly enjoyed its recent visit to Biggar Gasworks Museum. On arrival, the group was shown a film of the Last operational independent gasworks that produced coal or town gas, Located in MiLLport on the small Cylde island of Great Cumbrae. The works were operational until 1981, serving 636 customers.
