India: Spot prices little changed; FACT award pending

There was little change in the Indian spot market for sulphuric acid for another week. Buyers are seeking prices around $15/mt CFR and sellers would not settle for anything below the upper $20s/mt CFR. FACT was understood to have received two offers in its 14,000 mt tender for sulphuric acid, closing September 27. One offer from Glencore was said to have been rejected in the technical round and FACT is presently negotiating with Hindalco, local sources said.
