It has been an interesting few weeks in South Africa, weather-wise, and the corn belt of the United States is suffering its worst drought and heat wave in 50 years. This is of course is likely to have a huge impact on global food prices in coming months, and if you're into investing in grain futures, September corn purchased in early 2012 would have made you a fortune.
