After several years, South Africa can again boast the only working luminescence dating laboratory in sub-Saharan Africa. The lab has been constructed with funding by the DST, NRF (under the African Origins Platform) and with equipment donated by the CSIR and ESKOM, and housed in the School of Geosciences.
