Darwin and the geology of evolution

In 2009 we have been celebrating "Darwin Year", commemorating the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birthday. His epic voyage of the Beagle has been celebrated with numerous events around the world, generally focusing on his benchmark discoveries regarding biodiversity and evolution. In this article, the authors focus on Darwin's second vocation - that as a Geologist.
