Geophysical investigations and methods

摘要

Geophysics is the study of the earth using quantitative physical methods and encompasses all studies of the earth using physics. Within this context, the Council for Geoscience makes use of a plethora of geological applications, including mineral mapping and environmental, engineering and remote sensing applications. Since geophysical investigation is cost effective, it is often the first phase of any geological investigation, forming the basis of future work.
