The Richards Bay Minerals Research Team coordiated by Greg Whitmore, Ron Uken and Colin Jermy welcomes Ewan Blomfied from Edinburgh. He will be studying the geotechnical aspects of the dune field and replaces Pascal Sudan who recently completed his MSc with distinction on the sedimentology of the coastal dune cordon. Chris Ware continues his work on clay and silt mineralogy and a further project is to begin later this year on the non-economic silicate mineralogy.
