China’s December 2016 imports of sulphuric acid increased 1 year on year to 116,216 mt, leaving the January-December volume up 22 at 1.43 million mt. South Korea remained the main source of imports in December, supplying 83,498 mt. The remainder came from Japan (19,756 mt), the Philippines (9,998 mt), and Taiwan (2,177mt).
