摘要

Hydroxyapatite (HAP, Ca_(10)CPO4)6(OH)2) is known as a main inorganic component of human bone and teeth. Therefore, HAP has been investigated as a model compound for the research of biominerals. Because of its biocompatibility and bioactivity, HAPs are applied in many fields, such as hard tissue engineering materials, drug/gene delivery systems, and coating materials for implants. In addition, the cation exchange property of HAP enables the usage of catalytic supports for heterogeneous catalysts.
