Abused women report different levels of care and support from general psychiatric services

Context: There is a strong body of evidence linking mental health issues (depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide and eating disorders) with women's experiences of abuse. This study discusses the lack of care women disclosing family violence may experience when they come in contact with the Swedish mental health system.
