Early in 2001 IDF proposed a new enquiry into the systems used for paying milk producers for their milk. In accordance with IDF's new procedure member countries were approached and approved the proposal. The IDF Standing Committee on Farm Managementissued a questionnaire to member countries in May 2001 to cover data relating to milk payment in the calendar year 2000. The replies to the questionnaire were received, collated and resubmitted to the countries concerned for checking in February 2002. Thetables of data and the confirmed final report were then submitted to the IDF Secretariat in Brussels for publication.
