Passengers using public transportation require faster,safer, and more comfortable systems, and manycountries are trying to develop high-speed trains tomeet these goals. The HSR350x is a prototype high-speed train developed as an independent Korean model since1996. It is currently undergoing commissioning tests toensure reliability and safety. The tests are being carried outon two service lines: the Kyungbu line and the Honam line.These lines include not only designated high-speed lines butalso conventional lines.1 The maximum speed of the HSR350xis 350 km/h; however, the maximum speed for conventionallines is limited to 160 km/h for safety reasons.
