摘要

The relationship between cosmological solutions of five-dimensional Space-Time-Matter (STM) theory and a Generalized Scalar-Tensor (GST) theory is investigated in which the cosmological term #LAMBDA# depends not only on a scalar field #PHI# but also on its time derivative #PHI#~2. Identification of these solutions allows us to solve for the functional form of the cosmological term, and may have relevance for the early Universe.
