Amino acid esters and amides for reductive amination of mucochloric acid: Synthesis of novel gamma-lactams, short peptides and antiseizure agent levetiracetam (Keppra (R))

摘要

A simple methodology utilizing mucochloric acid and different alpha- and beta-amino acid esters, amides and short peptides for the synthesis of novel gamma-lactam and gamma-lactam-based short peptides was developed.
