Matching of natural-gas-fuelled regenerator-burner systems to furnace installations: An overvieew

The "state-of-the-art" in regenerator-burner technology for industrial furnace installations is examined. A significant potential for development has been exhaustively exploited in regenerator technology. To this must also be added the combination now only just starting development of the ECOREG rotary-bed regenerator as a heat exchanger with integrated thermal after-burning (TAB) with the function as a chemical reactor for reduction of pollutans, starting with CO and NO_x, but up to and including dioxin.
