EUS-guided drainage of debris-containing pancreatic pseudocysts by using combined endoprosthesis and a nasocystic drain

We read with great interest the article by Siddiqui et al in issue 4 of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. The authors compared the clinical outcomes of EUS-guided pseudocyst drainage with and without a nasocystic drain in the management of pancreatic pseudocysts (PPC) with viscous solid debris, concluding that their study demonstrated the utility of nasocystic tubes in helping facilitate the drainage of debris-containing PPC.
