We read with interest the report by Baron on retrograde PEG placement via double-balloon enteroscopy to facilitate the performance of ERCP in a patient after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery. In the article, Dr Baron raises the question of whether standard PEG kits could be used, because the length of the "loop string" might be inadequate given the usual length of the Roux limb (1 m).
