The current standard of care for the treatment of Barrett's esophagus (BE) with high-grade dysplasia (HGD) or intramucosal adenocarcinoma (IMA) is esophagectomy.1'2 The high rate of morbidity1'3'4 associated with this procedure has prompted the search for less invasive treatment modalities.1 EMR is one such technique.Complete Barrett's eradication (CBE) EMR involves the removal of entire segments of Barrett's mucosa, down to the level of the sub-mucosa. Early data have suggested high short-term cure rates with minimal complications.
