Therapeutic applications of double-balloon enteros-copy (DBE) include hemostasis, polypectomy, stricture dilation, stent replacement, and foreign body removal. Migration of the band after laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) through the gastric wall is a rare but major late complication after LAGB, and an incidence of less than 1% has been reported. Here, we report the successful enteroscopic removal of a gastric band anchored in the distal jejunum.
