Welcome to Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. With the August 2013 issue, we are introducing a new PubMed-referenced section: VideoGIE. The VideoGIE section, under the stewardship of a highly experienced Video Editorial Board, will provide GIE readers with high-quality videos of endoscopic procedures, along with histopathologic or radiologic images, that will tell a complete short story, demonstrating new endoscopic techniques that will push the envelope as well as classic endoscopic techniques that will perfect the art for better care of patients during the day-to-day practice. You will also see demonstrations of equipment setup and operation to facilitate smooth operation, along with educational material for the patients. We hope that VideoGIE will be invaluable to seasoned endoscopists as well as junior en-doscopists, trainees, endoscopy assistants, and patients. Remember that the articles and videos can be accessed on a mobile device from anywhere in the world!
