An exceptionally rare cause of upper GI bleeding: retrograde jejunogastric intussusception.

An 82-year-old woman presented with a 1-day history of nausea and progressive epigastric pain, vomiting, and large-volume hematemesis. She had a history of a Billroth II gastrectomy for peptic ulcer disease performed 7 years earlier. Physical examination demonstrated mild epigastric tenderness without distention. Laboratory evaluation suggested a mild metabolic acidosis (pH 7.35) and anemia (11.2 g/dL), without leukocytosis. An urgent upper endos-copy revealed a black congestive mass, with mucosal friability and spontaneous bleeding, and protruding into the gastric lumen, occupying most of the greater curvature (A).
