In children, exhaust burns are overwhelmingly due to motorcycles and quad bikes [1,2]; however, burns due to car exhaust are uncommon. Children usually suffer burns after being backed over and trapped under the vehicle's exhaust system [3]. There is a paucity of literature regarding paediatric exhaust burns from vehicles other than motorcycles.
