摘要

We would like to share our experience with a new design of dressing for the axilla in burns patients. The axilla is a difficult area to dress following skin grafting in burns surgery as even with careful patient positioning and excellent nursing care the area is prone to shearing forces which can prolong wound healing and damage skin graft (Fig. 1). We have tried many different dressing strategies for the axilla and have found the one here described to be the most effective.
