HELP! - I'VE GOT A PROBLEM

The leaves on my sweet Williams are always covered in orangey-brown spots. What can I do to prevent this? These orangey-brown spots are the outward signs of rust, a fungal disease which is always worse in hot, dry summers - just like the ones we've been having lately, Pick off all the affected leaves and clear away any that have fallen on the ground so they dont spread the problem, Spraying with Nimrod-T or Murphy Tumbleblite is one solution, but watering plants well in dry weather and giving them athick mulch will help to avoid the problem - prevention is better than cure, as they say. You could also try growing varieties with dark red flowers and reddish-green leaves as these resist attacks better.
