Get a group of designers together and the most hody debated subject will always be fees. After that, I've found that the next burning discussion will be about show gardens, competitions, awards and sticking your head above the parapet to be judged byyour peers. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the flagship event for exhibiting but it only attracts a very small proportion of designers looking to exhibit. There are many designers who regularly exhibit at the RHS's other shows, especially Hampton Court Palace and Tatton Park, there are regional shows such as the Southport Show, national shows like Gardening Scotland and international shows as far afield as the USA, Japan and Australia.
