摘要

The residual radioactivity remaining in airline passengers' luggage after it is examined by the pho- tonuclear method for detecting hidden explosives is estimated. It is shown that the probability of the luggage acquiring a dangerous dose of radioactivity during its examination is very low. This confirms the prospects for further development of this method.
