As a business, we are hindered by being comfortable and content with the present. This satisfaction inhibits our motivation for changes in the future. Security, the primary concern of our society, is crucial to the process of change. We the distributor are positioned in the middle; we connect the manufacturer to the customer. Our centralized location is secure, and together, the manufacturer, the distributor, and the customer must embrace change. My prediction for the future for "Norm Distributor" is that not much will change, or seem to change, for that matter. The distribution pipeline itself will not change. The market around it will evolve, but the middle section of the pipe remains to be an enviable, protected position. New technology, new manufacturing processes, new ideas, and new people will infiltrate our businesses. Change will indeed surround us in the future. This change is not something to fear nor for which to create new emergency action plans - our core position will remain the same. We the distributor are, and always will be, stable and cemented in the middle of the pipeline. For this reason, "Norm Distributor's" future will seemingly remain unaltered.
