SES Posts Net Loss for FY-2012 Q2

Houston-based coal-gasification specialist Synthesis Energy Systems (SES) announced February 10 that it posted a US$5million net loss for its fiscal-year (FY) 2012 second quarter (Q2) (ending Dec. 31, 2012), compared with a net loss of $3.6 million for Q2 FY-2012. "During the second quarter of 2012, we continued to execute our strategy to create value for our shareholders through technology licensing, with related engineering services and equipment sales; equity partnerships; and participation in low-cost coal resources," stated Robert Rigdon, SES CEO. "We continue to make good progress and our business development opportunities are robust and expanding.
