Southern Cal Edison Outlines IGCC-CCS Project in Utah

Having won rate approval from California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) last year to launch studies of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) combined with CO2 capture & storage (CCS), Southern California Edison (SCE) is now outlining a possible IGCC-CCS project in Utah. In a meeting with state and local officials as well as environmental groups including the Sierra Club, SCE outlined the project proposed for Emery County, Utah.
