Tenaska IGCC Project Clears Big Hurdle for Loan Guarantee

U.S. power producer Tenaska announced July 10 that the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) has agreed to negotiate terms of a US$2.58 billion loan guarantee to support the proposed $3.5 billion, 525-MW Taylorville integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plant in Illinois.
