The outlook for the economy has dimmed. The difficulties playing out in Europe and the United States are flowing into the real economy with both consumer and business confidence depressed. AME expects continuing near term softness in these markets. Despite these downward revisions, AME believes that the underlying momentum of economic growth will remain unchanged in the medium term.
