According to the statistics of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia, the total coal resources and reserves in the country reached 95,204 Mt and 19,171 Mt respectively by the end of 2010. The remaining resources and reserves, which is the crucial issue for Indonesia’s sustainable dominant position in the international seaborne thermal coal market, appears to be adequate to meet the demand of both domestic and foreign consumers.
