Dietary supplement direct seller Mannatech Inc . ended 2016 with a $586,000 net income loss after a 6 slide in fourth-quarter net sales to $42.6m and flat full-year net sales of $180.3m. The Coppell, Texas-based firm on March 14 reported fluctuations in currency exchange rates a $1.7m impact on net income for the year, with a loss per diluted share of 22 cents compared to EPS of $2.14 on $5.8m net income in 2015. Mannatech’s net loss for the October-December period was $1.1m, 42 cents per share a year after it reported net income of $1.5m, 56 cents EPS. The firm said its operations outside North America accounted for around 62 of consolidated net sales even as totals fell or were flat in each of its regions: by 12.9 to $16.2m in North America and South America, 5.6 to $3.4m for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and flat in Asia/Pacific, off 0.4 to $3.4m.
