Tullow Oil’s Erut-1 exploration well in Block 13T, northern Kenya, has discovered oil. The well encountered a gross oil interval of 55m (180ft), with 25m (82ft) of net oil pay at a depth of 700m (2,297ft). The overall oil column for the field is considered to be 100-125m (328-410ft).
