The ROQ mission is 'to unite individuals and non-government-organizations, businessmen, and industrial enterprises employees, government officials and scientists and technicians whose efforts are focused on improving the quality of daily life in Russia.' It is a massive undertaking.SIGMATogether with a number of government and non-government organizations, ROQ has participated in the development of main provisions of the Concept of a National Quality Policy. This Concept was put forward to the government for the elaboration of national quality policy, and reflected four key goals: 1. To bring about a wider awareness of the significance of quality and what it means to society in general 2. To implement effective quality management systems and advanced techniques 3. To develop quality systems certification,and improving Russian certification to levels that could be highly evaluated not only in Russia but also abroad; 4. To improve legislation and best practice to defend Russian markets against poor quality and counterfeit products.
