NORWAY Jotun has launched a new drive to increase market share in the Middle East pipeline coatings sector, which for the Norwegian paint maker already stands at an impressive 30%. The company says it hopes to significantly increase its presence in the region over the next three years.Central to its strategy is a reorganisation of its pipeline coatings portfolio that will combine powder coatings and liquid coatings to create a one-stop-shop for customers and provide a single point of contact for the unique pipeline coating needs of oil and gas companies and pipeline applicators. The change will make the entire process smoother, more efficient, quicker and more economical, says Jotun. Key regional customers, which include Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority and the Kuwait Oil Company, are expected to see the benefit.
