European Commission considers expanding role of Echa enforcement forum

The European Commission is considering expanding the role of Echa’s enforcement forum in order to meet objectives set out in the EU’s chemicals strategy for sustainability. The forum is a network of authorities responsible for the enforcement of the REACH, CLP, Pic, POP and biocidal product Regulations in the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It comprises one representative from each member state.
