Marubeni and Talisman have hit significant amounts of gas and condensate in the Cayley appraisal well currently being drilled in the North Sea. Marubeni said the 22/17-3 well tested at a constrained rate of 2,846b/d of condensate and 803 Mcm/d (29.7 MMcf/d) of gas. Marubeni has a 41.03% working interest in the Cayley discovery and the remaining 58.97% is held by Talisman. Marubeni owns the adjacent exploration acreage with Talisman which has the identified prospects to be explored in the near future, Marubeni said in a statement.
