Norway Vigdis discovery

Statoil has made an oil discovery near its Vigdis field in the northern North Sea offshore Norway - but the find's commercial potential has yet to be confirmed. The 34/7-H-2 H well hit a 24m (793) oil column m the Cook formation using Fred Olsen Energy's rig Bideford Dolphin, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD). The well lies in Statoil-operated Production Licence 089 (PL 089).
