Providence Resources reports that its Barryroe appraisal well in the North Celtic Sea Basin offshore southern Ireland has hit hydrocarbons.The 48/24-!10z well is being drilled at a water depth of around 100m (328ft) and lies 50km offshore Ireland in Standard Exploration Licence 1/11 (SEL 1/11).Providence said: "The original drilling timeline was initially set back by weather and later by rig performance issues which significantly delayed the drilling of the 12.25-inch section.
