Norway's government is looking to buy a new fleet of helicopters of similar type to the Super Puma involved in the recent fatal crash offshore the UK for use in search-and-rescue operations, according to reports. The government is due to make a decision this autumn on a proposed US $2.83 Bn investment in 16 helicopters to replace the country's ageing fleet of Sea King aircraft that are more than 40 years old and set to be decommissioned.
