European jet fuel stocks began to build in January as a surge in imports overwhelmed surprisingly s t rong out-of-season airl ine demand. Regional tanks breached the 9.4 million ton mark for the first time since November 2015, with particularly large early-year gains seen in the UK and Spanish markets - both of which are ideally placed to receive a growing tide of imports from the US as well as the Middle East and Asia.
