Dompap delight for StatoilHydro

StatoilHydro has hit oil in its Dompap wildcat exploration well just north of the Norne field, with the find likely to be tapped as a tieback to the Nome production and storage ship. Well 6608/10-12 was drilled to a vertical depth of 3,158m (10,361ft) below sea level in 334m (1,096ft) of water and terminated in Lower Jurassic rocks of the Are formation.
